The Ohio State Board of Pharmacy has approved the addition of three existing conditions for Ohioans to qualify for medical marijuana. In order to qualify for a medical marijuana card in Ohio, patients must be previously diagnosed with one of the current 22 qualifying conditions. After a patient has their diagnosis they can then meet with a certifying physician for medical marijuana. They must go through the evaluation process by meeting with the doctor to review medical documentation to become approved and added to the patient registry. After a patient is approved and added into the patient registry, they may activate their Ohio medical marijuana card to access any one of Ohio’s 52 dispensaries to purchase various forms of medical marijuana.
