Things are fuzzy looking forward as experts predict social\u00a0 distancing will\u00a0continue through summer<\/a>. Even as businesses start to reopen, they say letting down will be a gradual process, giving way to a new normal that we can\u2019t accurately foresee.<\/p>\n

Sources report\u00a0mass layoffs<\/a>\u00a0as things progress, but while New York on the East Coast is getting hit pretty hard, LA is\u00a0moving forward<\/a>\u00a0as the first major city to offer free testing to all its residents.<\/p>\n

Though public sports is cancelled, the first NFL virtual\u00a0Draft<\/a>\u00a0took place this year as standout college athletes awaited news of their NFL draft assignments from home.<\/p>\n

Beyond that, the entertainment industry is breaking new records with old stuff. That is \u2014 ratings areexploding<\/a>\u00a0for TV and streaming, but strangely, much of the\u00a0content<\/a>\u00a0is classic \u2014 80\u2019s and 90\u2019s centered material, including The Last Dance basketball\u00a0documentary<\/a>\u00a0which shares intimate footage about Michael Jordan and the legendary 90\u2019s era Chicago Bulls.<\/p>\n

In other news, illegal streaming has\u00a0gone way up<\/a>, Disney is selling\u00a0character-themed face masks<\/a>\u00a0for charity, and The Academy has\u00a0changed the Oscars<\/a>\u00a0to include films that haven\u2019t aired in theaters.<\/p>\n

But by far the best news is that though many businesses and other agencies are shut down because of Covid 19, dispensaries are essential, meaning\u00a0you can\u00a0get approved<\/a>\u00a0for a medical marijuana card without leaving home through the use of\u00a0telemedicine<\/a>.<\/p>\n
